Egypt has increased natural gas production at the Zohr field by 60 million cubic feet per day after successfully redrilling the Zohr-6 well, according to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Following the completion of Zohr-6, drilling operations shifted to the Zohr-13 well, which is expected to contribute an additional 55 million cubic feet of gas daily, based on technical evaluations.

These developments play a key role in strengthening Egypt’s gas supply infrastructure and expanding domestic output.

The Ministry noted that the progress confirms earlier production forecasts.

It also emphasized the fruitful collaboration with Italian energy company Eni, which operates the Zohr field, in advancing the field’s development according to plan.

The government continues to offer strong support for such initiatives, aiming to attract more investment into the oil and gas sector, increase national production, and promote energy security and sustainability.
