Durban welcomed the one-year-old tanker Pearl Kaja (IMO 9948372) this week after she completed a voyage from Singapore with an all-South African crew.

The vessel is now registered in South Africa at Port Elizabeth and flies the national flag. She is expected to begin operations shortly for an oil industry client along the South African coast.

With the addition of Pearl Kaja, African Marine Solutions now operates four tankers, providing fuel delivery services to vessels in port and offshore in line with local regulations.

AMSOL highlights its focus on managing operational risk and protecting the marine environment, supported by its team of marine professionals.

The entry of Pearl Kaja into service reflects AMSOL’s growing role in coastal tanker operations and its efforts to strengthen South Africa’s maritime capacity through locally flagged and crewed vessels.
